The Director of Distribution and Warehouse Operations in Obetz will be responsible for providing direction and leadership for tactical as well as long term, strategic Distribution and Warehouse activities across multiple distribution sites. This position is accountable for P/L development and management, warehouse and food safety programs, capital planning, personnel development, identifying and implementing process/system changes to drive efficiency gains and personnel safety.

- Oversee multi-site, multi-temperature, multi-shift warehouse operation supporting multiple 1800 Flowers brands. The responsibility includes 600K+ square feet of raw materials and finished goods with annualized volumes of over 5M shipments, four direct reports and several hundred indirect reports during peak season.
- Lead and conduct scheduled safety meetings with managers and associates to drive kpi’s.
- Responsible for developing and managing P/L and capital development plans.
- Accountable for strategic and tactical planning within areas of responsibility.
- Build and develop a “world-class” operation’s team through process/system improvement, organizational partnership, and associate development.
- Assure SQF quality requirements are met in Warehousing, supporting the SQF practitioners and delivering safe, legal, and high quality products.
- Maintain raw material and finished good inventory accuracy levels of 99%.
- Management of key building metrics, accomplishments, and implementation of action steps
- Responsible for the scheduling, training, and performance of all warehouse personnel.
- Manage productivity data and implement programs for continual improvement.
- Produce performance reports and executive summary reports weekly.

- Some travel expected across central Ohio with very limited national travel (i.e 1-2 times per year)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a business related field is required; 10+ years of Distribution and Warehousing experience with prior food production and/or processing preferred
- Experience managing at least 200 non-exempt associates reporting indirectly to this position.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing and implementing WMS and LMS programs.
- Experience with developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives.
- Strong tactical and strategic management capabilities within a fast-paced operational environment consisting of multiple peak holiday periods.
- Track record of bringing innovation and fresh perspectives to business challenges
